Researching, testing, presenting and designing the Input Field was a hugely satisfying job. I got to learn how these base components are researched, conduct my own tests, and work with my fellow designers in how we see this component being implemented.
Designing a User-Centric Web App through a Well Defined Process
I collaborated with stakeholders, designed low to high fidelity mock ups on an extensive web app. These efforts have currently provided $4.8 million in value to the product.
Battle for UX Advocacy While Achieving Big Results
I worked together with internal users to grasp their workflow intricacies and designed a web app that streamlined task completion. I advocated for the use of UX in an internal tool. This all brought a 30% time-saving for users across all tasks
Maximizing UX Impact on a Lean Startup Budget
This was my first project with a startup company. It was one of my first projects outside of school and an eye opening experience on the business impact UX design can bring to a product. I worked on my first pitch to a CEO, and argued for the increased revenue my designs could bring.
DJ JC Weddings
This is one of my first client projects. A friend of mine needed a portfolio site for his DJ business. His competition had a lot of easy contact while he was still primarily working word-of-mouth.
We went over his needs for a site, the services he offers, and his voice when speaking with clients. After a quick wireframe together, I built the site which was then reviewed by him and his manager. After just 2 weeks he got his first client from his site.
Now 3 months later 80% of his clients are coming from the site, and he averages 50% more client contacts than before the site was created.
About Me
I’m a Lead UX Designer with 4 years of experience, specializing in web, desktop and mobile design. I’m focused on the business impact of UX design and continuing to learn from industry professionals through books, tutorials and conferences.
In my freelance projects I create sitemaps and user tested wireframes verified by my clients. From these wireframes I design high-fidelity mockups and prototypes.
On a more personal side I’m a father to three beautiful little girls and a husband to a fantastic woman who supports me in all the work I do.
